We the People, the Citizen Captains, Subject Citizens and Subjects of the "OCEANIC CITIZENS REPUBLIC", do solemnly Publish and Declare, that we are and are of Right to be, Free and Independent People; that having formed a Free and Independent Republic assuming the responsibilities and privileges of a free and sovereign state as defined in Article 1 of the 1933 Montevideo Convention on Rights and Duties of States, have full authority to do the Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do, and for the support of this declaration, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
